Iron Swim is starting!

Iron Swim - Hosszú Katinka

Although Katinka Hosszú, the first committed swimmer of Iron Swim has already started preparation for the upcoming World Cup Series just after she had claimed her fourteenth European Championships gold medal, the real work is just starting in her newly opened swim club. Up to this point, more than 50 swimmers have already committed to Iron Swim, and put their faith in our professional staff and program, set up by the three-time Olympic Champion.

The club is located, in the Duna Arena. The Head Coach of Iron Swim is Árpád Petrov, its Sports Director is Csaba Vízi and the rest of the coaches will work under their guidence, maintainig and unifying professionalism of elite swimming troughout the different groups of the club. Árpád Petrov worked in Switzerland for ten years as the Head Coach of Schwimmclub Uster and he led the Swiss youth National Team for six years. Csaba Vízi can be considered as the ‘founder’ of swimming in Százhalombatta, he has more than three- decades of experience as a swim coach, head of a club, competition organizing and sports management.

I am very excited about this new project and its future, because I feel that we have set up an excellent professional background and team. Certainly, we will represent the same mentality and approach that represents to me as Iron Lady and Katinka Hosszú, and complemented by Árpád’s experience and open-minded, innovative philosophy. I trust that we provide many talented swimmers with an attractive program at both youth and adult levels, since we aime to bring out the best of everyone. Our club has a masters group as well, where senior competitive swimmers and those who just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle are all welcome. Furthermore, we focus also on teaching swimming within Iron Swim School, where the swim lessons start this fall ’ said Katinka Hosszú, Founder and Swimmer of Iron Swim.
